Research activity within the School of Psychology in Bangor investigates the cognitive and neural bases of visual attention, conscious awareness, goal-directed behaviour, emotion and social interaction. Research program in this section benefits from a convergence of disciplines including cognitive science, computational neuroscience, neurology, and neuropsychology. Multiple, converging techniques are used, including chronometric analysis of behaviour, computer simulation, behavioural and anatomical analysis of neurological and psychiatric patients, ERPs, TMS, eye and limb movement recording, and fMRI.
